The slightly longer story:
After graduating from the University of Western Ontario and then studying under Canadian ad legends, Joanne Lehman and Wilf McOstrich at Humber College’s Media Copywriting Program, I began my career at Cundari. Remarkably, that’s where I’ve been for the last 13 years. I have risen through the ranks at Cundari from Summer Intern to Junior Copywriter and so on all the way to Group Creative Director. Along the way, I have applied my talents for writing, visual storytelling and most importantly, problem-solving to create award-winning work for BMW, the ROM, Dempster’s, RONA, Maple Leaf Foods and SickKids Hospital.
The important, slightly more boastful story:
In my time with Cundari there has been tremendous change and growth. I am proud to say that I have been a major contributor to this transformation. I was on the pitch team that won dozens of new accounts. Dempster’s, Maple Leaf Foods, CIBC, RONA, the ROM, 3M, TELUS Business Solutions, Northeastern Ontario Tourism, and IVEY to name a few. I also helped pitch and re-win BMW Canada, and then helped Cundari make it to the final 2 agencies vying for the BMW USA business. Another obvious example of this transformation is the way in which we are viewed by our peers and our industry: Cundari has consistently finished in Marketing and Strategy’s Top Ten Agencies for the last 4 years. In addition, we were ranked 6th in the Big Won Global Ranking for the “Top Digital Agency in the World”. Remarkably, Cundari was the only Canadian agency on the list.
To me, there is nothing more exhilarating, frustrating, and ultimately life affirming than watching an idea come to life. I count myself among the lucky ones because every day I get to make things.
And what could be better than that?
